Elephants, Pooh, and Bears

My youngest girl, 19 months, woke up from her bedtime early, we put her down at like 6:30, and she woke up again around 7:30.
Danger!
She loves the elephant march from Jungle Book (we just listen to the songs, we don’t watch TV), and she asks for it all the time by saying, “ephant! Ephant!”
So I put it on for her and she listened for a minute, then said, “Bear!” which I took to mean “Bear necessities” and that was correct.
We listened to that for a moment, then she said, “Teeter totter!”
So I put the teeter totter song on, and immediately she said “No teeter totter! Pooh!”
So I put the narrated story of Winnie the Pooh on.
That lasted about 20 seconds, then she said, “Ephants!”
So I switched between those four songs about 30 times in the next five minutes until finally I said no! No more, and I turned them off.
She said, “ephants?”
I said no! No elephants.
“Ephants peese?”
My resolve was cracking, but I tried again.
“No elephants! We’re going to sleep.”
She sat quietly in my lap, and in the darkness I could see her bottom lip come out and begin to quiver, and her eyes were starting to well up with tears.
What’s a father to do?
I sighed, it was going to be one of those nights.
“Ok,” I said. “Elephants song.”

It took an hour and a half to get her back to sleep.
